Aquatuti Enviro Composting Toilet System

The Aquatuti Enviro Composting Toilet uses the best in global technology combined with the highest quality in New Zealand manufacturing to deliver a rugged, reliable and eco-friendly composting toilet.

Why Choose the Aquatuti Composting Toilet System?

The Aquatuti composting toilet system combines the best Swedish technology with a completely New Zealand made Bio Chamber to provide a long lasting, reliable, and eco-friendly composting system.

The Aquatron separator technology uses the momentum of the flushing water, centrifugal force, and gravity to separate urine from solid waste. Which means there are no moving parts, no chemicals, and no electricity is needed in the separation and composting processes.

The Aquatron separator is combined with the Bio-Chamber to achieve the performance and hygiene of a typical toilet system – with the ecological and environmental characteristics of a bio-degrading toilet system.

N

Highly efficient composting

This separation of fluids from solid waste makes the composter more effective and requires less effort.

N

No power source required

The Aquatuti system utilizes the toilet flush and then gravity to work effectively.

N

Very low maintenance

The Enviro Toilet Separator has no mechanical parts, which means very little maintenance to think about.

N

Customisable to your needs

Multiple toilets can be installed above one bio-chamber.

N

Highest quality standards

The best of Swedish and Mew Zealand manufacturing ensures a durable and reliable system.

How the Aquatuti Composting Toilet System Works

The Aquatuti Enviro Composting Toilet system is used in combination with a conventional household toilet pan, preferably a low-flush and with a P-trap (a type of plumbing pipe).

Enviro Toilet’s Aquatuti system uses a genuine Aquatron separator made in Sweden and imported exclusively by us. This unique, patented centrifugal separator removes the solids, and then the water & urine are diverted out to the disposal system (such as the grey water system or bio-filter).

This separation of fluids from solid waste makes the composter more effective and maintenance free.

The liquid is flushed into a separator (no mechanical parts and zero energy usage) where urine and water is separated from faeces and paper.  The urine and grey water (bath, dish, wash) are transported as grey water for infiltration into the soil (if necessary you can use a UV device or phosphorus trap to meet the highest discharge requirements).  The solid waste is composted in a Bio Composting Chamber.

When the toilet is flushed, the contents of the bowl are transported to the Aquatron separator where approximately 98% of the liquid is separated by using the momentum of the flushing water (centrifugal force and gravity). The Aquatron Sparator has no mechanical parts that means no maintaining to worry about.

Patented Aquatron Separator

The Swedish Aquatron separator receives the waste from the toilet(s) inside the house.

Once the urine and faeces are separated, the solid waste falls into the bio-chamber where the composting process begins.

Innovative Waste Separation Technology

The solid waste (paper and faeces) falls down into the Bio Chamber where it is composted by bacteria and, if desired, by worms.  If using worms, the volume of the solid waste will be reduced by approximately 95%.

With high treatment requirements flowing liquid waste to a UV unit where it is exposed to ultraviolet light and phosphorus trap to achieve the highest environment discharge standards. The liquid is then equivalent to the grey water (bathing, washing, dish) and can be discharged according to New Zealand grey water standards.  The system can also be installed without the UV unit or phosphorus trap.

The Aquatuti low flush system is the only system that allows for multiple toilets to be hooked up to the same Bio Chamber.

Highly Efficient Bio Chamber

The Aquatuti Bio Chamber use bacteria and, if desired, worms to efficiently decompose the solid waste.

When worms are used, the Bio Chamber can reduce the volume of solid waste by up to 95% – making the removal of decomposed material a very minimal effort.

Meets Highest Environmental Discharge Standards

The phosphorus trap is the last step for the liquid to go through to meet the highest discharge standards in New Zealand.
